Tuckerman leased this 17,000 sq ft HQ building on behalf of long standing client Swire Group. A former Drill Hall the unique space had been used as a Met Police canteen and then a hair dressing academy. The interested party Dukes Education were keen to secure a self contained headquarters for their administrative staff. Coming out of St James’s the CEO contacted us direct and all negotiations were undertaken with him and his team. We needed planning to convert from Sui Generis to office use, which was secured via delegated powers. The transaction was swift and efficient and the result is a superb result for both owner and tenant, making the best use of very interesting but complicated space.
